    Abstract

By the cognitive radio Network, we are continuously finding the solution to overcome with limited spectrum problem. Some of the spectrum which is occupied by licensed user (the frequency band allocated by government or telecom authority) is in idle mode most of the time. This licensed spectrum can be used by the unlicensed user through Software defined radio (SDR), cognitive radio is based on SDR. The growth of wireless communication and future generation of wireless/mobile communication required reliable and high data rates. Cooperative communication is one of the promising technologies to provide virtual antenna arrays to the system. To reconstruct the signal after multipath propagation, transmitter requires a large number of antennas. So in this paper, we discuss the growth of cooperative communication to achieve better diversity.
